| Sex and Violence -- Why is one more acceptable than the other? Why is violence considered more appropriate than sex? People will buy their guy a G.I. Cartoon violence is acceptable. Cartoon sex? You'll never see that on Nickelodeon. Even in the bible there are commandments that condemn sex outside of marriage and even thinking about having sex with your neighbor's wife, but there is no prohibition against kicking your neighbor's a$s, provided you don't kill him. I'm not advocating for promoting sexuality to guyren or anyone else. I'm just wondering why violence isn't equally taboo. Why isn't violence MORE taboo? |
